Machine description

6-row sunflower harvesting

The NAS 676 row-crop sunflower header harvests 6 rows at once. Its rigid frame and nominal 76.2 cm row spacing suit sunflowers planted in rows. Built in 2003, it has an unladen weight of 1610 kg.

Chain feeding and shaker-tray crop collection

Lugged gathering chains in each row guide stems towards the cutting system. Seed-collecting shaker trays between the rows feed material into the auger trough. The transverse auger carries crop from both sides towards the central outlet and into the combine feeder house.

High side walls and a perforated rear guard screen guide the crop within the header. Steel trays sit between the individual row feeding units.
